Whilst Amarilla Golf and Country Club is a haven for golfers, many more people come here to enjoy the peacefulness of the resort and the amenities it holds rather than play golf. A wonderful alternative to the busier, more commercialised resorts the two area of Golf Del Sur and Amarilla have merged together – with the marina in the middle – for become a very relaxing, laid back and increasingly popular destination.

Amarilla Golf is very well located for getting around the island. Teide National Park

Tenerife is much more than sun, sand and sea. Take a trip to the mesmerising Teide National Park, the most visited natural park in Europe and a Unesco World Heritage Site. Here the skyline is dominated by Mount Teide. Towering 3718 metres above sea level, this is the third largest volcano in the world. As you travel higher and higher towards this striking volcano, the terrain changes dramatically and strange rock formations transform the area into a an amazing lunar landscape.

Whale and dolphin watching

For a truly breath taking, once in a lifetime experience, why not try whale and dolphin watching in Tenerife. Visitors to the ocean surrounding Tenerife includepilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, sperm whales, blue whales, killer whales and Atlantic spotted dolphins. There are many excursions leaving from various points around the island and you can chose whether to get up close to these amazing animals from a sailboat, yacht, catamaran, or even snorkelling! This is one experience that is not to be missed!

Siam Water Park

Siam Park is described as ‘One of the most exciting water parks in Europe’ and it certainly has a fantastic selection of seriously thrilling rides! Take on the Tower of Power and plummet 28 metres down an almost vertical drop! Or take a ride on The Dragon, a unique ride which drops you through a tunnel and then propels you into a funnel at high speeds! Or come face to face with The Giant – a twin cyclone ride that allows up to 2 riders to experience being sucked into a huge bowl.

Loro Parque

Step inside Loro Parque to experience a truly breath taking array of diverse wildlife. This huge park is very popular with holidaymakers and locals alike, who all love to visit this paradise that has also become home to many rare and exotic creatures from around the world. At Loro Parque you can get up close to parrots, gorillas, chimpanzees, jaguars, tigers and alligators! Don’t miss the fantastic killer whale and dolphin show, and pay a visit to Planet Penguin to see over 200 penguins in their own ‘Antartica’. Loro Parque is not to be missed and is a great day out for the whole family!

The San Miguel Marina

The stunning marina at San Miguel enjoys a perfect setting, nestled between two championship golf courses. Here you can sample many activities on offer including sailing, fishing and diving. Or just enjoy a drink watching the sun set over the ocean! A hidden gem at the Marina is the Submarine Safari, a wonderful opportunity to experience the vast array of underwater life in Tenerife. See fish and rays from the comfort of a real submarine in the depths of the Atlantic.

How to find us

Amarilla Golf Villas is set on the edge of Amarilla and Golf Del Sur. A 10 minute walk from the development is the marina that separates the resorts. Here you will find some lovely sea front restaurants and bars. Some bars have nightly entertainment. The marina also has a small, mainly shingle beach.

Further into the resort of Golf Del Sur, the San Blas Commercial Centre offers 3 pretty squares lined with bars, restaurants, shops etc. Many of the restaurants have live acts. Major attractions such as Siam Park and Jungle Park are within a 15 minute drive. Los Cristianos and Los Americas are a 20 minute drive away.
